What is bullying?
Bullying is when a
person keeps teasing even though they know it bothers or hurts
you. Bullying can also be fighting,
- hitting
- kicking
- punching
- threats
It's important to remember that bullying
does not have to be physical (like hitting); it can be teasing
that does not stop.
What is teasing?
Teasing is making fun of someone or a put-down
(doing or saying something that makes someone feel bad about
themselves).
Watch out for teasing disguised as joking!
When someone says or does something
that hurts your feelings (like calling you a name) or hurts
you physically (like grabbing or hitting) and then says, "Oh,
I was just joking!" That's not joking if it hurts you.
Joking should be fun for everyone who is involved.
